Music for a While Performance Series

Taft’s Music for a While Performance Series is a well-known and highly regarded celebration of music and culture. Most performances take place in Woodward Chapel or Walker Hall, architecturally significant and historic venues on the Taft School campus. A signature program at Taft, Music for a While performances feature professional musicians from across the globe, as well as local musicians and Taft students. They represent all genres of music, from folk and funk to chamber and chorale. All performances are free and open to the public; no tickets are required.

“Our Music for a While series sets Taft apart as a school. Not only does it engage our friends and neighbors in the community, it brings highly-regarded musicians to our campus to perform in extraordinary spaces on exceptional instruments.”—Bruce Fifer, head of the Arts Department
